Dark Adventure

A soft grey sky hung low over the woods. Snow began, once again, to cascade in endless spirals, muting all sound and quietly suffocating the deep droning engine of the huge red car.The one up front was steering. Mesmerized by the relentless white blizzard, he struggled to navigate the beast through the winding forest of cedars, towards its sinister destination. On the backseat sat the other, clutching tightly to a canvas satchel and catching air from the open window snow darted inwards. A rich aroma from the old leather seats filled their nostrils. Wet snow slid down the misty glass and apart from the thudding tick of the wiper blades , an eerie silence filled the car as it emerged from the white woods. It seeped from the open window, and poured out in a slip stream into the serene landscape.
